These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

So much to be Thankful for

Happy Thanksgiving!  Our family has been blessed with another amazing year.  As I look back on the year, we have SO much to be thankful for.  First of all, I am thankful for my faith, my church, and my God.  Next, I am thankful for my wonderful husband who I love dearly and the three beautiful children that we share.  I am extremely grateful for my extended family (on both sides).  It is such a blessing to have close family that you can lean on and laugh with.  I am thankful for my job.  Even though I complain at times, there are many that don't have jobs and mine affords me to give my family the things they need.  I am thankful for my health and good health for my family.  I could continue for hours, but these few things are definitely at the top of my list.

This year was Cade's first Thanksgiving!  I am pretty sure he enjoyed his lunch of mashed potatoes and beans...and then pudding cake afterwards.  We were fortunate to have everyone at our house this year, well almost everyone.  We missed Grandmother, Stacy, and Jason.  The grandkids had a great time visiting and playing and the adults enjoyed good conversation and GREAT food!  Afterwards, Jason and I wagered a few bets on the A&M/UT football game and I lost.  But, that's okay...I don't lose often!!

The kids went around the table and said what they were thankful for...so sweet!

First Dance Recital

Yesterday was Kennedi's first dance recital.  It was at the Boerne Dance Festival.  She looked like a doll with her little pink tutu and matching bow.  However, she wanted no part in dancing!  She was excited to go and showed us her dance at home, but in the moment, she DID NOT want to be on stage, much less dancing.  However, it was a good chance for our family to get together.  Thanks to Nana, Papa, Grandmother, Kristy, Chayse, Stacy, Mark, Cassie, and Lexi for coming out.  Lexi got to jump on the trampoline with bungee cords and the others got to jump in moon bounce.  Then, we went to Bear Moon in Boerne to enjoy a pastry and coffee.

Christmas Pictures

Oh, how I dred taking pictures.  It is so hard to get 5 people happy, smiling, and looking in the same direction, not to mention dressed in a coordinating manner.  It is stressful to the max!  But, we did it and they turned out great!  Hope everyone has a Happy Holidays.  This year (and every year) our family has so much to be thankful for.  Personally, I am most thankful for my God and my beautiful family.

Baseball Party

Well, it is the end of baseball season once again.  This season Carson made major improvements.  He is hitting the ball when the coach pitches it.  He is fielding well, catching the ball and throwing to first base, and most importantly having a great time!  Last night they had their end-of-season party after practice at Double Daves.  Unfortunately, Jason wasn't feeling well so he stayed home with Kennedi and Cade...on his birthday!

AHA Heart Walk

On Saturday, Kennedi, Cade and I partipated in the American Heart Association Heart Walk.  We were a part of Team Paragon.  Jason and Carson didn't walk because Carson had a 11:00 baseball game and we wanted to make sure he didn't miss it.  It was a cold morning, but we had a nice walk around Brackenridge Park...for a great cause!

We even had Paragon shirts made for Cade and Kennedi

Pow Wow

This morning they had a Pow Wow at Country Home.  All of the kids were decked out in their Indian headbands, necklaces, face paint, etc.  Each class sat on a "rug" outside and took turns singing for the parents.  It was fun to watch my little Indian, Kennedi!
