Happy Birthday Carson!

Wow!  My baby boy is 7!!  I remember this day 7 years ago like it was yesterday!  It was the day that I became a mommy and fell in love instantly with a 10 pound 7 ounce butterball.  He was perfect...and still is.  Carson has grown up so much.  He is so sweet and sensitive.  I love watching his mind turn as he tries to learn and absorb the world around him.  He is the best big brother ever.  Kennedi and Cade look up to him so much and they have an excellent role model in their brother.  Of course, there is the occasional "little boy" stuff that gets him sent home with a yellow sad face in his folder, but overall I couldn't ask for more!  I love you Carson more than you will ever know!  Happy Birthday Bear!

Field Trip to the Zoo

Wednesday I went with Kennedi's class to the zoo!  It was a little rainy in the morning, but it didn't stop the 20 4 year olds from having a great time!  I was thrilled to be able to go with my baby girl and spend some special time with her...just the girls (as she would say)!

Race at the Ranch

Kinder Ranch Elementary had its 1st Annual Race at the Ranch and it was a huge success!  The PTA sponsored the event, complete with a health and activity fair, 1 mile fun run, and 5K.  We had 385 participants and 13 booths!  I was in charge of the health fair and was very pleased with the participation and turn out.  Jason and Carson ran/walked the 5K and Kennedi and Cade had a blast playing soccer at one of the booths!  It was a great day and I am so happy that we were a part of it!

Great Wolf Lodge - Spring Break 2012

What an awesome time we had!  Jason and I decided  to take the family to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX for a little Spring Break fun.  It was AMAZING!  We left on Thursday mid-morning and traveled about 5 hours.  I was worried about the travel, because typically my kids haven't done very well on long road trips.  But, they were GREAT!  We stopped for lunch and took our time winding up 281 to the DFW area.  Thursday evening we got in a few hours at the indoor waterpark and the kids were in HEAVEN!  Friday we spent most of the day in the water, a little time in the arcade, rested a little, and then headed to Rainforest Cafe for dinner.  It was SO MUCH FUN!!  The kids had a blast and Jason and I did too!  Saturday we spent almost 2 hours at the waterpark before we headed back down south.  We met up with Kristy, John, Chayse, Mom and Dad in Round Rock for a early dinner and finally landed home this afternoon.  We couldn't have asked for a better family outing!  I LOVE my babies and I am so HAPPY that we were able to have such a good time as a FAMILY!!
