Here we go again!! My how time flies! Today Carson starts 4th grade! My sweet, handsome, sensitive, sincere, and smart little boy is growing up before my eyes! Carson has Colonel C this year, a retired Colonel that is in his first year of teaching! I look forward to a year of learning respect and responsibility!
Little Miss Kennedi is starting 1st grade today! What?? Kennedi will have the same group of kids in her class thru 5th grade, as she is a part of the Dual Language program. Her teacher this year is Mrs. Easterling, the same teacher Carson had in 1st grade. This year, I hope Kennedi is challenged to her potential. I so look forward to watching this young lady channel her strong spirit into being a great leader!
And, I can't forget Cade! Cade is as tall as most of Kennedi's friends, but he is only 4, so he can't go to school just yet. However, my "baby" is going into the Gold Room at Rainbow Station and he couldn't be more excited! I hope this happy, energetic little boy is able to learn a lot this year and get ready for kindergarten!!
These Are The Days!
Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

Galveston: Mini-Vacation
One last little get-a-way before school starts! We headed down to Galveston, TX to meet up with our great friends Trae, Bethany, Bekah, and Avery Sutton. We rented a little house on the beach and settled in for a long weekend of R&R. We drove down Thursday after work, so it was pretty late. But, Friday morning we had a great day! Trae made breakfast tacos and the kids played. Then, we went to Moody Gardens where we spent the majority of the day. Moody Gardens was so much fun! We visited the aquarium and rainforest. We saw a 3D movie and rode on a paddlewheel boat. Friday evening we walked down to the beach. The kids had a great time despite the huge amounts of seaweed! Saturday, we spent the morning resting and visiting. Then, we went swimming at the clubhouse pool. That afternoon we had a mid-day meal at Landry's Seafood and then went over to Pleasure Pier. Pleasure Pier was such a fun place! There were lots of rides, a ferris wheel, and live music. We had a ball! Unfortunately, on Sunday we had to head back home, but it was a great weekend and we were so happy to enjoy one last hoorah before we get back to the "school schedule"!!
