Tom Boy, not so much...

My sweet little firecracker is becoming a beautiful little lady!  Kennedi still refuses to wear bows or skirts, but she carefully picked out her clothes this year and has taken more interest in her hair and grooming.  I love this girl and I love watching her blossom!

1st day of School 2018

Ugh.  Every year they look so much more grown up.  My babies are now 3rd, 5th, and 8th grade.  I don't know how times passes so quickly.  I pray for them to have successful years, to excel academically and to let their light shine wherever they go!

SFS Tournament Champs

This post is after the fact, but Carson's SFS teams won 2 tournaments in August.  These boys are so awesome and play so well together.  It truly is so much fun to watch them play!

FOOTBALL!

Cade and his team are off to a great start!  Cade is starting running back and starting defensive end.  He is a beast!  Love watching is passion.  Cade plays with his whole heart!

JW Marriot Staycation

One last hurrah before school starts.  We had an amazing summer, but it went by so quickly.  To celebrate and to rest up before school begins, we got a room at the JW Marriot for one night.  It was a surprise for the kids.  Thursday night after Cade's football practice we loaded the kids up in the car.  They were so happy as we pulled into the beautiful hotel and we told them about the huge water park they could play in the whole next day.  We slept in a little, had a wonderful breakfast at the hotel restaurant and then headed to the water park.  There weren't many people there, so the kids got to ride the water slides over and over.  Jason and I relaxed in the lazy river all day.  It was a wonderful day of fun and relaxation.  Perfect way to end the summer and kick off the new school year!

1st Football Scrimmage

It's that time of year again!  This year Cade is on the Smithson Valley JV Football team (3rd and 4th graders).  Cade made the weigh in at 92 lbs (had to be less than 100 lbs to play a skill position).  The first scrimmage went really well.  He ran the ball hard and played great on defensive end.  We are looking forward to a great season!

Alamo Volleyball League

Well, I didn't get many pictures...at all.  But, Kennedi played in a middle school volleyball league this summer at Alamo.  She did amazing!  She was the only 5th grader among 7th and 8th grade girls.  She learned so much!  I look forward to watching Kennedi continue to get better and better at the sport she loves.
