These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

Haisler Christmas

This year was probably the best Christmas ever for our little family!  The kids are at such great ages!  They all believe in the Christmas magic whole heartedly.  Their little faces light up like light bulbs with each and every moment.  The kids are learning about the real reason for the season and were truly happy to celebrate Jesus's birthday this year!  We talked to the kids a lot this year about how blessed we are and how not every child has the good fortune that they do.  We have pounded thankfulness into their little heads and preach gratefulness on a daily basis.  They still have more to learn, but I was very proud of their behavior and appreciativeness this Christmas.

We celebrated Christmas Eve at Kristy and John's house in Round Rock.  Nana and Papa overdid themselves with gifts for the kids and as always they had a great time playing with cousin Chayse.  Needless to say, they were worn out by the time we got home!

The Polar Express

This year Nana and Papa surprised their grandchildren with a trip to the North Pole on the Polar Express!  What a magical day!  It was a long drive to Palestine, but when we got there, the experience was priceless.  We boarded the train and took an hour long ride.  Midway we arrived at the North Pole and Santa boarded the train.  The kids got hot chocolate and a cookie, just like in the movie. The chefs danced in the aisles with the kids, and Santa handed out the first gift of Christmas!  I just LOVE the ages of the kids right now.  All 4 of them were so excited.  Everything is so real for them and the belief on their faces was worth a million dollars.  Thanks Nana and Papa for a day we will never forget!

Classroom Christmas Parties

Friday was a day full of celebrating!  Carson's 1st grade "winter" party was so much fun!  They had so many activities planned, from decorating jingle bell necklaces to making foam snowmen, playing Elf bingo, decorating reindeer cupcakes, decorating their teacher with tinsel and bows and playing a book exchange game!  All of the kids had a great time and I was so thankful to be able to be there.

Carson had early release from school, so he and I left after his party and headed to Rainbow Station where Kennedi and Cade were having their parties.  Since they were at the same time, I was greatful that Jason was able to join us so that someone was always with the kids.  I started out in Kennedi's room and Jason in Cade's room and midway through the parties we switched out!  Both kids are so lucky to have great teachers!  The parties were really a lot of fun for all!

KRE Christmas Concert

Last night, Carson sang with the Kinder Ranch Elementary 1st and 2nd grade choir.  They sounded amazing!  Once again, Jason and I beamed with pride as we watched our oldest be a part of something so special.  Last night was one of those nights that I wanted to freeze time!

There's Carson!  Right in the center on the back row!

Look how handsome...and how grown up!

Supporting big brother!

Two of Carson's biggest fans!

Church Christmas Play

Every year the kids enjoy being a part of of the church Christmas play.  This year, it was a very cute play about the Reluctant Innkeeper.  The innkeeper was on trial and in the end it was determined that he was not guilty because at least he found a place for Mary and Joseph to stay the night Jesus was born.  Carson was in the jury (aka choir) and did a fantastic job as always!  Kennedi was a beautiful angel and Cade was a little sheep.  Cade didn't want to go up to the front of the church, but loved his costume!  I am so happy that my kids are learning the true meaning of Christmas!

Christmas Parties!

Jason and I are so blessed to work for such awesome companies!  My company flew both of us to Dallas for the Paragon Christmas party on December 4th.  We stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Dallas and the party was at Union Station.  We had a great time!  Thanks Nana and Grandmother for staying with the kids so that we could enjoy a night out on Paragon!

Jason's company party was December 9th. Like last year, it was at the JW Marriot Resort.  This year was special because Jason received his 10 year longevity award.  Even though it was tough to get there after work, we had a great time at the party eating, drinking and celebrating the success of Pape-Dawson.  Thanks Stacy and Jason for babysitting and allowing us to enjoy this night!
