1st Day of School

Be still my heart. I can't believe these babies of mine are headed to 6th grade, 3rd grade, and 1st grade. I love them so much! I pray that they have awesome school years and learn a lot. I pray that they make good decisions and always keep Jesus close in their hearts.

Schlitterbahn

Our family headed to Schlitterbahn for the first time on the day before school started. We had a blast! It wasn't very crowded, so we rode the water slides time and time again. Great family fun and a last hoorah for the summer!

Church Camp

Carson went to his first overnight church camp this summer. It was at Highland Lakes in Austin. A great group of kids attended. They had an amazing time and Carson recommitted his life to Christ!! Super proud of this young man and the direction he is taking his life! He came home exhausted but rejuvenated!

Shreveport Tourney

The 13U SFS Traveling Team played in a tournament in Shreveport, LA this weekend. There was some tough competition, but it was a great opportunity to get out of town for a little bit and play against some new faces.

Mom and Dad drove to Shreveport to watch the boys play. Unfortunately, the night before the first game, mom fell at their hotel. She was in considerable pain. Dad ended up driving her back to Austin only to find out that she had a broken femur. Within 48 hours of the fall, mom was admitted to the hospital for hip replacement surgery. It was a whirlwind weekend, full of emotions. Thankfully, mom came thru surgery just fine and will face some recovery time.

Kennedi plays Basketball

Just like her brothers, Kennedi is a strong force to be reckoned with on the basketball court. She is a hustler like none other. She plays aggressive and is an outstanding rebounder! This summer she played basketball with the Y and was awesome. So proud of my #5!
