Alaska Cruise - Day 4 - Skagway

On the fourth day, we stopped in Skagway, Alaska for our first day of excursions.  In Skagway, we got off the ship and took a 4 hour train ride through the mountains.  Again, the scenery was absolutely beautiful!  The waterfalls, the mountains, and the terrain was amazing!  We rode 2 hours up the mountain and then on the way back, the kids moved into a different car to play some games and have snacks.  Disney did a great job accommodating all ages.  The adults toasted a glass of champagne as we came back down the mountain.  In Skagway we walked through the little town for a bit before we boarded the ship that afternoon. It was a warm day, so the kids were even able to take a little swim on the ship.  It was kind of surreal to watch the kids splash in the water and slide down the waterslide - with the snow covered mountains in the background.  That night, Jason and I were able to get away with Kristy and John to have an adult meal while Nana and Papa took the kids for pizza on the deck.  Great day!
