Today was the day! At 5:00 a.m. Jason Diamond and I weighed in! It has been an interesting 8 weeks to say the least. Ben Tyler literally gave us no choice but to participate, and I am so thankful he did! The Back to School Nutrition Challenge came at a perfect time to reset and refocus on our health goals.
It didn’t take long after the initial chaos of trying to figure out what we could eat, meal planning, and grocery shopping to settle into a routine of healthy habits. Honestly, I really don’t think I’ll change much. I’ve learned that I don’t NEED Diet Coke, and frankly I don’t know if I will ever drink one again. I’ve built a love for water that I didn’t know was possible. Bread doesn’t sound good anymore. And, my favorite, Mexican food, will probably only happen on special occasions. *Most 🤣 of the recipes I made were delicious and WAY more healthy.
There are lots of diets and things out there for weight loss. But, the past 8 weeks have proven that clean eating and regular exercise WORK BEST!! I’m down 8+ pounds and 2.7% body fat! I have more energy than ever and am loving the way my clothes fit!
Thank you Lydia Wallie and Ben Tyler for the support and encouragement! Thank you Jason for taking this challenge on with me! (He has an amazing success story I’ll let him share!) Its a marathon, not a race. I don’t plan on stopping. My “why” is the 14, 11, and 9 year old that call me mom. I pray that I can keep up with them for many years to come!
