These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!!

I've watched many great youth sports games in my time. This one will forever be in the top handful of most memorable. I've never seen a group of kids fight with so much heart like they did today. Playing Boerne, a long time youth football rival. Many of the boys bruised and banged up. Star running back throwing up on the sidelines, Cade in tears after taking a hard hit, bigtime defensive player with a broken hand, and many others nursing injuries after a long season. Down at halftime. Sad, broken, tired, but full of drive and determination. The boys fought to bring the game back to tied late in the 4th quarter. Here we go...OT. We got the ball first and SCORED! Then it was their turn. Play after play. 10 year old boys leaving it all on the field. Boerne quarterback rolls back, Cade is headed towards him with every intention of a big time defensive play. Ball is up, intended receiver in the endzone, INTERCEPTION! Game over, superbowl CHAMPIONS!! The reaction of the team, coaches, and parents will be forever etched in my mind. True grit winning out in a battle like no other. Smiles for days, and epson bath, ice on both legs, and a championship medal around his neck. Proudest mom in the world!
