These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

Happy Easter!

Last night when I was tucking the kids into bed, they asked me to explain the spirit of Easter.  Happily, I laid on the bed and told the story of Jesus' Resurrection.  The kids made such sweet comments, like "poor Jesus" and "that was so mean of them to throw stones".  And, when I got to the part of about Jesus rising again so that we may be saved, they said, "that was so nice of him," and "I want him to live in my heart".  The innocent faces and genuine comments of my 3 year old and 6 year old, made my heart happy.  After the story, they said a prayer and Carson very cautiously asked me if it was okay to pray for Jesus to live in his heart.  Wow!  We prayed together and then I went in the bathroom and wiped my tears.  My tears of happiness.

I also had a moment to reflect yesterday as I drove to the convenient store to get a few things.  I began to think about all the blessings in my life.  I am truley so blessed.  I have the most amazing husband in the world that I love with my whole heart.   I have 3 beautiful, healthy children that make life worth living.  I have parents that continually show unconditional love and support.  I have a career that affords me and my family to enjoy a lifestyle that is unparralleled.  God is good...all the time!

I can't help but feel a little guilty sometimes.  Why?  What did I do to deserve such a bountiful life?  Why have I been blessed time and time again, while others struggle and face life struggles on a daily basis?  I don't know.  All I know is that I HAVE to be continually grateful and I HAVE to teach my children the GLORY OF GOD!

Happy Easter to all!  Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for me, so that I may live an enternal life.

Dying Eggs

One of our family traditions is dying Easter eggs.  This year we were at the ranch, but the tradition continued!

Go Mets!

So, we finally got a chance to watch cousin Chayse play t-ball!  It is always fun to watch little ones learn something new and have fun doing it!  Way to go #10!

Pape-Dawson Company Picnic

Today was the annual Pape-Dawson Company Picnic.  It was at the Rio Cibilo Ranch this year.  As always, we had a great time playing and eating.  The kids enjoyed the bouncy houses and playground.  They served a great bar-b-que meal.  Then, the kids enjoyed the petting zoo and rode ponies.  The 5 of us took a hayride and fed the longhorns, and then we all took a barge ride on the creek!  It was a great afternoon and now the kids are exhausted!

Battle of Flowers Parade

Viva Fiesta!  We have lived in San Antonio for almost 10 years and never have done much Fiesta stuff.  However, this year we got tickets through our church for the Battle of Flowers Parade.  It was such a great time!  We sat on the front row, so the kids were able to see everything.  They loved all the floats and marching bands!  We headed downtown about 11:00, got to our seats around 12:00 and didn't leave until 3:30.  I was amazed that all 3 kids were able to sit that long without much complaining at all!  We had a great time and I can forsee this being something we do again in the futute!

Kindergarten Performance

On Tuesday, while I was out of town, the Encino Park kindergartners preformed an ensemble of Texas songs at the PTA meeting.  I was so sad that I had to miss it.  However, Jason got to go and took lots of pictures.  He also videoed it and I was able to watch when  I got home.  So proud of my little Texan!

NHIA

Last week I traveled to Orlando, Florida for the National Home Infusion Association Annual Conference.  I left on Monday and returned on Thursday.  I had an amazing time and learned so much, but missed my family like crazy!  While there, we went to numerous lectures on various clinical topics, visited with many home infusion vendors, and had an opportunity to network with others in our industry.  Every night, Paragon treated us to an amazing dinner, complete with drinks, appetizers, main course, dessert, and more drinks!  On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings we even got to go to Universal Studios and relax a little.  I had a great time and came home feeling very blessed to work for such a generous and accomplished company.

I worked really hard to have everything ready for the kids for the week, because I knew how hard it could be to handle all 3 every morning and evening.  I laid out clothes, prepared snacks, and made little notes on when things were due and what to put in the backpacks on certain days.  Jason did an outstanding job!  Fortunately, Grandmother was able to come and help for 2 days.  It was such a blessing that she was able to take off work and help us during the week while I was away.  She not only helped with the kids, but cooked and helped Jason make sure everyone got where they needed to be.  Thanks so much Grandmother, we really appreciated it!

I didn't take my camera to Florida, but  I took a few pictures with my phone...
