These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

It was a great Memorial Day weekend!  We celebrated with some great friends out by the pool, grilling, swimming, and being thankful for wonderful friendships!

Round Rock Tournament

In preparation for our trip to Germany, the 14U SFS team played in an exposure tournament in Round Rock.  It was extremely competitive and a definite eye opener for the boys.  They are used to winning all the time.  The teams were bigger, stronger and faster.  But, it was a great experience and the boys realized that they are going to have to step up their game in order to compete at a higher level.  Many of the boys will be in high school next year.  Game on!

Mother's Day

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful mother that supports my family in every way!  I am also very thankful for my mother in law that raised a wonderful man.  A man, that loves me and had a hand in making me a mom.  Happy Mother's Day 2018!

Carson - SFS Basketball

I can't get enough!  This guy works so hard!  He deserves all the success he has both now and in the future!  The bottom picture is the team that will travel to Germany next month.  There are a lot of kids that would give their right arm to be on this team.  But, Carson has worked his tail off and earned his spot.  We look forward to watching this team for many years to come!

Cade - SFS Basketballl

Cade keeps getting better and better! My favorite thing in the world is to watch my kids play sports!  I love this picture of his big brother supporting him on the bench before his own game!

Sand Volleyball

After her first season of club volleyball ended, Kennedi decided to try sand volleyball for the rest of spring and first part of summer.  She loved it!  Kennedi and her partner, Tylee, played in several tournaments.  They were 10 playing in the 12U division, so it was definitely a learning experience.  However, Kennedi obviously got stronger and faster from training in the sand.  Beach volleyball is so relaxed and fun!  The girls won some and lost some, but most of all they had fun and got better at the game they love!

NJHS

We are soooo proud of Carson!  Tonight he was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society at Spring Branch Middle School.  In order to get accepted, you first have to be nominated, you must have an overall grade average of at least 90, and you have to get signatures from all of your teachers confirming that you are a good student and leader.  The kids are able to pick a sponsor that is their mentor and role model.  It can be a teacher, coach, or anyone that inspires that child.  To no surprise, Carson picked DJ.  DJ is super busy and has lots of trainings going on all the time, but he took time out to come support Carson for his induction.  It truly meant the world to him.  Having a basketball coach that supports and encourages academics is so powerful.  Carson idolizes DJ.  He is a role model of excellence, integrity, and hard work.  We are so blessed for Carson to have DJ in his life!
