These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

First Bus Ride

I cry easily.  It doesn't take much to get me emotionally stirred.  One thing that might not ever change is the tears that come to my eyes as I witness milestones in my kids lives.  As little as it may seem, watching them step on the school bus the first time every year makes me think about how fast they are growing up.  This year is was a big first for Kennedi.  Carson promised to watch over her and make sure she got where she needed to be, but honestly I'm pretty sure Kennedi can take care of herself!  So, yes, I cried as I watched my babies climb on the school bus AGAIN this year.  I love them so much.  I just wish time would slow down!

First Day of School

Here we go again!  I can't believe that this year I have a 3rd grader and Kindergartner!  Where has the time gone??

Carson is in 3rd grade this year.  His teacher is Mrs. Ainsworth, but in 3rd grade they switch classes.  So, he will have Mrs. Rodriguez for Math and Mrs. Nickleberry for Reading.  Carson is also in SAGE (G/T) this year, so he will be with Mrs. Metzger 4 days a week doing some extra, mind-stimulating projects!

Kennedi was accepted to the Dual Language program at Kinder Ranch.  It was a lottery and she got in!  Her main teacher is Mrs. Reed.  She learns reading and math in English from Mrs. Reed.  Then, she goes to Mr. Barrera's class where she learns science and social studies in Spanish.  Every year the percentage of her schooling in Spanish will increase.  By the time she is in 5th grade she should be bilingual!  We are so excited for her to have this opportunity to learn another language!

Zoo Fun!

We are in Comal ISD.  While most of San Antonio started school on 8/25/13, we didn't start until 8/26/13.  I decided that would be a great time to enjoy the zoo all to ourselves!  I took off work that last day before school started and the kids and I headed to the zoo.  The kids always enjoy looking at the animals and I always enjoy being with them, so it was a great day!
