These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

Pre-K Graduation

Little Kennedi graduated from pre-K!  Her class put on a precious little program and all of the kids were so excited to get their diplomas!  Kennedi has done so well and I am SURE she will excel in kindergarten next year!  Congrats baby girl, we love you so much!

2nd Grade Comes to a Close

Wow!  I can't believe Carson just finished 2nd grade!  What a great year it was!  I continue to be amazed of Carson as he grows into a young man.  This year Carson maintained all A's the entire year, got Perfect Attendance for the year, and was accepted into the SAGE or Gifted and Talented Program.  Carson is such a bright little boy and I look forward to many more years of great achievements!  Mom and Dad are sooooo proud of you!

Jr. Rattler Rookie Football

This spring Carson decided to play tackle football for another season.  This time, we signed up with the Jr. Rattler's.  Carson was on the Rookie Footbal team (age 8-9).  It was a long season, but Carson really enjoyed it!  We practiced twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15-8:15.  They played most Saturdays and a few Sundays.  Carson's team was AMAZING!  They had awesome coaches and a bunch of talented young men!  They went undefeated in the regular season.  In the playoffs, they won the first game in double overtime and then lost the second.  It was a great season of very competitive football!

Carson was one of the younger boys on the team.  Although Carson LOVES football, practices all the time, watches it on TV, and even works on strategies with his XBOX game, he struggled this season with playing time.  Jason and I took it as an opportunity to teach him hard work, persistence, and good sportsmanship.  He is tall, lean, relatively fast and has good hands, but lacks aggression, which is vital to the game of football.  We had many talks about not giving up, continuing to get better each day, and giving 100% effort every time he was on the field.  I love Carson so much and it was hard to see him watch most games from the sidelines, but after the games when he smiled real big and congratulated his teammates on a great win, I knew that he was learning some valuable lessons. Jason and I vow to support him (and the other kids) in whatever they want to do.  We won't miss a practice or game if humanly possible.  If he continues to love the game and wants to play football, he has 100% support from us ---no matter how much he plays!

Morgan's Wonderland with Kennedi!

I am so blessed to have a flexible job that allows me to attend field trips with my kiddos.  This time I was able to go with Kennedi's pre-K class to Morgan's Wonderland.  Morgan's Wonderland is a park in San Antonio that was designed for special needs kids.  However, anyone can go and have fun!  Not only did the kids have a great time playing and riding rides, but they also witnessed kids that are not as fortunate as they are.  It was nice for them to see that not everyone has 2 legs and can run and play on the jungle gym.  But, that child is still special and deserves to have fun too!  Great morning and great learning experience for all!!

Cade's Playdate

Cade is such a great little brother!  He tags around with us to football games, birthday parties, and all kinds of other events for the other two.   He just isn't quite old enough to have his own activities yet.  So, we invited his two best buddies, Cade Metzger and Hayden over for a playdate!  The boys had the best time playing in the sand, playing trains, and getting into everything upstairs!  Kennedi and Carson really stepped up to make sure those best buddies had a great time by pushing them on the swings and helping them up the stairs.  What a fun time for all - especially my little Cade Bradley!!

Mother's Day

After Carson's football game on Saturday, we headed to the ranch for the night.  We ate Saturday night with Mom, Dad, and Chayse.  On Sunday, Mother's Day, Mom made breakfast and we played for just a bit before we headed back home.  It was a fun little getaway to celebrate!

Jason and I are both blessed with amazing Moms!  Jennifer has been staying with us during the week since August and truley has made our life easier by helping out with the kids, cooking dinner, and helping with the grocery shopping!  We have been so lucky to have her close.  My mom continues to amaze me with her support for all of the kids and grandkids.  She and Dad make a huge effort to be a part of the kids lives and for that I am grateful.  I am also very proud of her for her medical advances!  We are looking forward to lots of years celebrating with 2 great MOMS!!

As for me, I must be the luckiest mom in the world.  I have an amazing husband and 3 beautiful kids.  I love them so much.  My heart is so happy!  I thank God every day for the blessings in my life!

Little Entrepreneur

Carson's class had to come up with a product to make and market.  It had to be something simple and made mostly out of recycled materials or a household item.  We even made a poster for advertisement!  Carson designed some great Spurs keychains and was able to trade all 15 of them to his friends!  It was a fun learning experience, and an introduction to bartering!

Muffins with Mom

KRE PTA hosted Muffins with Mom in May near Mother's Day.  I am the chair of Programs and it was our committee that hosted the event.  So, we bought 400 hundred muffins, made coffee and juice, and celebrated moms!  I didn't have much time with Carson that morning, but Jason covered with me for a few minutes so I could share a muffin with my favorite 2nd grader!
