Wax Museum

Carson's 3rd grade class put on a wax museum at school.  Each student had to pick an influential person, write a report about that person, dress the part, and memorize a short speech.  Carson picked Tim Tebow.  I was really proud of him for picking not only a great football player, but also a strong Christian evangelist.  Carson learned about a lot of Tim's accomplishments including mission trips and awards in football.  I am so happy that Carson chose such a great role model.

TOT Basketball

When Kennedi was 4 she participated in TOT Basketball at Rainbow Station.  Now it is Cade's turn!  TOT stands for Teams of Tomorrow.  The kids get to step out of the classroom for 30 minutes each week.  They learn some basic ball handling skills like dribbling and developing their eye hand coordination.  They also incorporate educational aspects such as right vs left, counting in English and Spanish, etc.  Cade loves TOT!  He loves to wear his orange shirt on Thursdays and he always comes home talking about what he got to do at TOT.  In addition to the weekly practices, the kids also get to perform at halftime of a high school game.  It is so precious to watch these little ones shine!

Upward Basketball!

It's that time of year again!  This year Kennedi played Upward Basketball and I had the pleasure of coaching her team!  It was so much fun!  The 5 five-year-olds learned to dribble, pass, shoot, and a lot about teamwork!  It was a great season and I hope the kids had as much fun as I did!

 

 

Happy Birthday Cade!

My little minion turned 4!  I call Cade the "happy" kid for many reasons.  He can put a smile on anyone's face at anytime.  Not only is he incredibly adorable, but he says the funniest things!  Cade can look at you in a way that others can't and it will melt your heart immediately!  I love this little boy so much.  Look out world, Cade Diamond is going to be a force to be reckoned with!
