These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

Viva Las Vegas!

Last weekend Jason and I took a much needed vacation.  We headed out to Las Vegas with some great friends that we don't see nearly enough.  Trae and Bethany, Brad and Wendi, and Jason and I had a blast!  We ate, drank, played, walked, laughed, and relaxed!  I missed the kids like crazy, but enjoyed every minute of our little vacation.

Stacy and Jason kept Cade.  It took him a little bit to adjust, but ended up having a great time!  They took great care of him and I think he wore them out in the process!  Thanks so much Stacy and Jason!

Carson and Kennedi split their time between Nana and Papa and the Wilson's.  On Thursday afternoon Nana picked them up and took them to Round Rock to go swimming with Kristy and Chayse.  After the pool, they went to Kristy and John's for the night.  The next day, Nana met the gang at Jungle Java for some jumping fun!  That night, Carson went with Nana to the ranch and Kennedi went home with Chayse for some girl time.  On Saturday, the gang all met up again and Nana and Papa took them all to see Cars 2 at the theater.  Saturday night Carson and Kennedi came home with Nana and Papa and stayed at the ranch while the Wilson's rested for the first time in 3 days!  The kids had a ball. When we got them on Sunday they were EXHAUSTED... but fell asleep with smiles on their faces.  We are so lucky to have such great family to take care of and spoil our children.  Thank you so much Nana, Papa, Kristy, John, and Chayse for allowing Carson and Kennedi to have a GREAT vacation of their own!!

Vacation Bible School

This year the kids and I attended VBS at St. Matthew's again.  The theme was "Shake it up" and everyone had a great time!  Cade hung out in the nursery, Kennedi was in the 3-4 year old class, and Carson was in the Kinder-1st grade class.  I was in charge of the "science" room, where every day we did an "experiment" and related it back to how God was working in our lives!  Since I was working, I didn't get a ton of pictures, but hopefully I can get some from the church soon.  I am so happy to have a wonderful church family.  Raising my babies in a church means everything to me!

Kiddie Park

On Saturday we were invited to a birthday party at the Kiddie Park.  The kids had a great time riding rides.  Jason and Cade stayed behind, but I got some cute pictures of Carson and Kennedi having fun!

Beach Trip - Day 3

Sunday was another fun day at the beach!  Kristy still felt a little under the weather, but made it down to the beach about mid-day.  We set up "camp" about 10:45 and stayed until a little after 4:00.  The kids played in the water, tried out their new water guns, built sand castles and even had a little "rest" time at the beach.  That evening we made tacos and hot dogs.  The kids crashed pretty early.  Everyone had a great day and here are some pictures to show for it!

Everyone was happy, except for Cade!

Beach Trip - Day 2

This morning the kids woke up with one thing on their mind - the BEACH!!  Unfortunately, Kristy had a virus all night.  She did not feel well at all and spent the day resting and recovering.  We hated that she did not get to go to the beach with us, but she is feeling better now and will get to have fun with us tomorrow.  So, we packed up a cooler full of drinks, a tub full of snacks and stuff for lunch, made sure the sand toys and sunscreen were loaded and we headed down to the beach.  Once again we had a great time.  The kids were NON-STOP! They built sand castles, played in the water, ate, and even met a new friend!  We went to the beach around 10:30 and did not get back until close to 5:00.  We put the kids in the bathtub because they were COVERED in sand and then made dinner.  After dinner and a little down time we went back to the pool for a little dip.  The three older kids are fast asleep on the living room floor as I type and baby Cade didn't make a peep when I put him in his bed.  Another successful day (except for Kristy being sick)!

Beach Trip - Day 1

It is time for our annual beach trip to Port Aransas.  Our family of five and The Wilson's (Kristy, John, and Chayse) headed to the coast for some summer fun!  This year we got a condo at Port Royal.  Like every year, the kids are soooo excited to be together and to get to go to the beach!  The 4 kids are always so happy to be around each other.  The Wilson's arrived at our house at 9:30 a.m. and by 9:55 we were pulling out of the driveway.  We hit Corpus around lunchtime and stopped to eat at Cheddars.  We arrived at Port Royal around 2:30.  After we got settled into our room (and it was a feat to unload everything!), then we headed to the pool for a swim.  That evening, John and Kristy made homemade pizza and ice cream.  The kids were exhausted, but went to sleep with smiles on their faces!
