These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

Happy Halloween!

Cade was the only one that wanted to dress up this year.  He and his friend Markus trick-or-treated in Timberwood Park and had a great time.  On actual Halloween night we stayed in and had dinner as a family for once.  It was bittersweet as it was the first Halloween that we didn't go out in 14 years.  But, I loved the family time!

Football End of Year Party

Today we celebrated an amazing season!  The SV JV White team when 7-1 overall.  They played with heart and discipline.  The coaches were amazing and the boys improved immensely.  They grew on and off the court.  The families were supportive and encouraging!  Until next year...

These football buddies enjoyed a cold Friday night lights at SV!  I'm sure one day soon we will be bundled up watching them play!

SV Football Play-Offs

Boerne is always tough.  We lost to them 3 times last year.  This year we beat them by 1 point in OT.  We knew that it was going to be a really hard game.  The boys fought so hard.  They came up short in the end and lost 7-0.  There is no doubt in my mind, though, that Cade and his teammates left it all on the field.  That is all you can ever ask of kids.  To say we are proud is an understatement!  Amazing season!

Kennedi and Kaia

Kennedi and Kaia played in 2 really big 14U sand tournaments in October.  In both of the tournaments, the competition was stout.  One had 8 teams and the other 17 teams.  Kennedi and Kaia played awesome and fought through.  In both tourneys they placed 3rd!  These two girls never give up.  They are a class act on and off the court.  They earned a bid to play in the p1440 tournament in California (14U)!  Great job girls!

Nutrition Challenge

Today was the day! At 5:00 a.m. Jason Diamond and I weighed in! It has been an interesting 8 weeks to say the least. Ben Tyler literally gave us no choice but to participate, and I am so thankful he did! The Back to School Nutrition Challenge came at a perfect time to reset and refocus on our health goals.
It didn’t take long after the initial chaos of trying to figure out what we could eat, meal planning, and grocery shopping to settle into a routine of healthy habits. Honestly, I really don’t think I’ll change much. I’ve learned that I don’t NEED Diet Coke, and frankly I don’t know if I will ever drink one again. I’ve built a love for water that I didn’t know was possible. Bread doesn’t sound good anymore. And, my favorite, Mexican food, will probably only happen on special occasions. *Most ðŸ¤£ of the recipes I made were delicious and WAY more healthy.
There are lots of diets and things out there for weight loss. But, the past 8 weeks have proven that clean eating and regular exercise WORK BEST!! I’m down 8+ pounds and 2.7% body fat! I have more energy than ever and am loving the way my clothes fit!
Thank you Lydia Wallie and Ben Tyler for the support and encouragement! Thank you Jason for taking this challenge on with me! (He has an amazing success story I’ll let him share!) Its a marathon, not a race. I don’t plan on stopping. My “why” is the 14, 11, and 9 year old that call me mom. I pray that I can keep up with them for many years to come!
