These Are The Days!

Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

Seacrest Vacation 2015

This year, as a result from good advice of our neighbors, we headed to Seacrest Beach, Florida.  Just down the road from Destin, the waters are crystal clear and the sand is powder white.  We rented a little house not too far from the beach with our great friends, Trae and Bethany Sutton and their children Bekah and Avery.  We all had an amazing time!  It was definitely a vacation I hope the kids never forget.

Day 1
The first day we flew out of SA around 9:30 a.m.  We had a layover in Dallas, and then landed in Panama City around 2:30.  We rented a car and then headed over to Seacrest to meet our friends.  The kids couldn't contain their excitement long.  It wasn't long before we headed to the beach to catch some waves and watch the sunset.

Day 2
On the second day we took a catamaran out to a little Island and got to play on some inflatables.  It was so much fun!  The kids slid down the slides, jumped on the trampoline, rode the Shamu boat (pulled by a jetski), and snorkeled.  After 2 hours of great fun, we took a ride on the catamaran to see some dolphins in the beautiful green waters.  It was half a day of awesome water fun!  After we rested for a bit, we hit the pool in our subdivision for some more water fun.  The kids fell fast asleep that night with smiles on their faces!

Day 3
On the 3rd day we went to Gulf World to see some sea animals and birds.  The kids had a great time touching stingrays and seeing the dolphin show.  Avery got called up to do a magic trick and Cade got called up during the Feathers and Furr show.  Both boys showed no fear on stage!   That afternoon we had a late lunch at Margaritaville.  We rested for a few hours and then that evening we saw a magic show put on by Noah Wells.  We all watched in amazement as he sawed a girl in half and raised another from the table.  Another great day!

Day 4
On Thursday, we had some more beach time.  Then, we took an air boat out on an alligator tour in the Florida swamps.  It was a really cool experience!  When we got back from riding the airboat, we got to see an alligator show.  Bubba, the 7 foot, 185 pound alligator was so awesome.  The kids got to pet him and even sit on him.  Yikes!  After we had enough of the alligators, we enjoyed some ice cream before Jason and Trae made a delicious steak dinner out on the grill!

Day 5

On the last day of our vacation we spent a few more hours at the beach before we had to head home.  After we packed up, we had a little time, so we went out on the Panama Pier to take a good look at the beautiful waters one last time.  It was an amazing vacation with great friends!
