Ignite Tourney - Houston

The kids were out of school on Friday.  Carson and Kennedi BOTH had tournaments in Houston this weekend.  So, we booked a room, packed our bags and headed that way.  Friday night we watched Carson's team.  That night, Carson stayed with Mom and Dad in the hotel with his teammates.  Jason, Kennedi, Cade and I drove to our hotel in downtown Houston to stay with Kennedi's team.  Saturday morning, I went to watch Carson play and Jason watched Kennedi's team.  That evening we met up for dinner and recap.  Carson's team didn't advance so Sunday we all watched Kennedi and Ignite.  It was a whirlwind weekend, but at least we were all together in one city!

Last tournament of the season.  It didn't go quite as planned, but this group of girls have come so far!  they have bonded on and off the court. They have improved in every aspect of the game.  I LOVE watching them play and will miss indoor season.  Until next year!  #15 has my heart!

SFS Tourney -Houston

The select team played in Houston this weekend.  It was extremely challenging and very high competition.  The boys came up short, but played hard.  You can't win them all, but you have to learn from each and keep working to get better.    Hard work is not foreign to this group of boys.  They make me proud regardless of the scoreboard!

Field Trip with Cade

I was so thankful to be able to go with Cade and the 3rd grade on their field trip to the Witte Museum.  The kids had fun looking at the exhibits and climbing the rock wall!

Happy 14th Birthday Carson!

I can't believe it!  My 10 lb, 7 oz baby boy is 14 years old! I couldn't be more proud of him if I tried.  So smart, so athletic, so focused.  The future is bright for this sweet boy!  He and a few friend celebrated at the Escape Room and then dinner at BJs! I wish time would slow down.  Soon he will be a freshman!
