Kennedi had a great season of t-ball this fall. She had a blast out there and learned so much! I am so thankful for these days of sports with my kiddos!
These Are The Days!
Time flies when you are having fun! I worry everyday that I will forget the precious moments that I share with my family, so I have decided that I need to do a better job capturing those memories. My sweet babies are growing so fast and I not only want to remember them as babies, but watch them grow into the amazing people they are!

End of the Season
Well, our first football season has come to an end. I must say, it was a lot of fun, a learning experience, and exhausting all at the same time. Over the past 12 weeks, we have cried with Carson after tough practices, we have celebrated with Carson after great hits, we have agonized over not winning any games, and we have had long talks as a family about commitment, playing hard, not giving up, and having fun every single game. Emotions have been all over the scale this season. Carson's team practiced 3 nights a week, which is extremely difficult for 2 working parents and 2 younger siblings. Thank goodness for grandmother! Without her we could not have made it to every single practice on time! The commitment alone was a challenge. Then, we were faced with the difficult task of being on a losing team and explaining time after time that as long as you are getting better every week and having fun, it doesn't matter what the scoreboard says. Some weeks that was a very difficult conversation with our 7 year old. But, the last game of the season put it all in perspective. They lost, but Carson had a great tackle! We finally saw a glimpse of the huge potential this little boy has. Carson absolutely LOVES football. He watches it on TV every day, looks forward to practice, asks Jason to practice with him in the backyard and always encourages his teammates. These qualities coupled with Carson's size and frame may just be the foundation of what he can be one day. We are so proud of Carson and look forward to watching him play as long as he wants to!

Carson's Awards
Jason and I are always so proud of our kids. However, this week we got a big surprise that made us especially proud of Carson. We received a letter from the Comal ISD Superintendent stating that Carson had been chosen Comal ISD Superintendent's Student of the Month for October 2012! What an honor! Carson was chosen not only for is academic excellence, but for his perfect attendance, good behavior, and outstanding citizenship. I know how special Carson is, but when others recognize how great of a kid he is, it makes my heart overjoyed with pride.
In addition, Carson was chosen firecracker of the week by his second grade teacher! Jason and I knew beforehand and we were able to go to the Friday morning celebration and see him get is award in front of the entire school. What a great week for Carson! Congratulations baby, keep up the great work. Mom and Dad love you so much!

Happy Halloween!
What a fun day we had! Halloween is always crazy. I really kind of dread it. There is always so much to do in so little time. The kids are sugared up, tired, and cranky. Then, they stay up late and the next morning we all pay. This is how our day went, October 31, 2012. Jason and I both took off work because there was just so much to do. After we got Carson on the bus and headed to school, we got in the car to take Kennedi and Cade to their school. By 8:30 we were back at KRE to speak at Career Day. Jason and I had each volunteered (along with many others) to speak about our careers and encourage the children to work hard in school, so they too can have a great career one day. We each spoke to 5 classes, 30 minutes each. At 11:00 we finished. Jason and I ran home to straighten up a bit and change clothes. We then headed out to do a few errands that we needed to get done, but never have time. By 2:30 we were back in the pick-up line to get Carson from school. By 3:15 the three of us went to Rainbow Station for Kennedi and Cade's Halloween parties. Jason and I each went to a party and then switched in the middle so we each had some time with both kids. At 4:00 the 2 little ones participated in their Halloween parade at school. By 5:00 we were back home only to get a quick snack and regroup once again. At 6:30 we went next door for the annual neighborhood party. Shortly therafter, the Williams came over and we all went on the hayride around the neighborhood trick or treating! We finally came in the house around 9:30 and ALL of us were exhausted! The kids had a blast and we did too, but, honestly...I was happy to go back to work the next day!

Little Slugger
Kennedi is playing t-ball with i9 sports this fall. She plays every Sunday afternoon. She is on the "Lions", a team of 3 and 4 year olds. My little girl is quite the player. She hits really well and has begun fielding well and getting the ball to first base. Look out...I think we have another Diamond athlete on our hands!
